MarkaPracodawcy.pl Editorial Assessment

Employee dialogue, clear development opportunities and a strong sense of belonging are at the heart of SHEIN’s workplace culture.

We are highly impressed by the workplace culture at SHEIN, built on the foundation of the company’s values, respect and dialogue with employees. We appreciate the company’s strong focus on employee well-being, as demonstrated by the implementation of the “LINK” platform, which continuously monitors the needs of the team, enabling the company to respond to them effectively.

SHEIN is an organization that fosters a strong sense of belonging to the company and its community, actively recognizes employees through initiatives such as Employee Recognition Ceremonies, supports their motivation and satisfaction, and nurtures team integration through initiatives such as Family Day and SHEIN Day.

Employee development is a key element of SHEIN’s people policy and is based on targeted leadership development pathways. The company consistently invests in the growth of its employees, recognizing achievements through a transparent system of two promotion cycles per year and providing high-performing employees with a clear and accelerated path for career development.

SHEIN takes a responsible approach to work-life balance and employee health, as reflected in initiatives such as the Flexible Work Framework, Commuter Support and Nutritional Support. The company takes a comprehensive approach to employee well-being that goes beyond statutory occupational health and safety requirements. It combines ecology, safety, hygiene and education, actively integrating these elements into everyday operations and organizational culture.
We also commend SHEIN for the commitment of the company and its employees to professional education initiatives, including the Polish Talent Days Career Fairs, as well as its pro-social activities and volunteering efforts.

SHEIN represents a modern and inclusive workplace, supported by a friendly, engaged and committed employee community.

EMPLOYEE RELATIONS

In our Poland office, culture is defined by agility, inclusion, and individual agency. We cultivate a ‘test-fast, learn-faster’ environment that empowers employees to take ownership of their work and transform challenges into opportunities.

Our team is driven by five core values: Customer First, Take Ownership, Deliver Results, Make Change, and Celebrate Diversity. These principles are deeply embedded in our daily work as we strive to meet the diverse needs of our global customers.

Our relationship with our staff is built on mutual respect and a commitment to active listening. To ensure every employee has a voice, we implemented “LINK”—a fully anonymous, real-time feedback platform. Unlike traditional annual surveys, LINK provides team leaders with live insights into employee well-being, leadership effectiveness, and operational workflows. This allows us to remain agile and address the needs of our team in Poland immediately, ensuring a healthy and responsive workplace climate.

We demonstrate our commitment to our employees through a comprehensive support system that covers every aspect of their professional life:

  • Premium Workspace & Tools: We provide a high-spec technical environment, including high-performance laptops, dual monitors, and ergonomic accessories (keyboards, mice, and laptop bags). Our office is equipped with ergonomic seating to ensure long-term physical comfort and health.
  • Celebration of Community: We foster a deep sense of belonging by celebrating milestones together. From traditional Polish holidays like Easter and Christmas to our annual Family Day, we create opportunities for employees to bond and share their success with their loved ones.
  • Career Growth and Excellence: Recognition at SHEIN is tangible. We reward excellence through a structured promotion cycle twice a year, ensuring that high performers have a clear and rapid path to career advancement.

EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT

At SHEIN, our approach to employee development is built on a foundation of continuous recognition, holistic well-being, and the implementation of advanced digital tools that empower our teams to excel.

We host Employee Recognition Ceremonies twice a year to celebrate the milestones and achievements of our staff. These awards are designed to boost engagement and foster a sense of pride across two categories:

  • Individual Excellence: Recognizing our “Best Newcomers” and “Outstanding Employees.”
  • Project Innovation: Highlighting strategic contributions in areas such as Cost Improvement, Operational Excellence, Capacity Building, and Compliance & Systemization.

We prioritize a “people-first” culture through consistent engagement activities:

  • Monthly Well-being: We host “Recharge Stations” with fresh fruit and snacks to foster team bonding.
  • Seasonal & Cultural Events: From the high-energy “Black Friday Cheer” events to local traditions like Fat Thursday, Easter, Women’s Day, and Men’s Day, we ensure our workplace feels like a community.
  • Annual Family Day : We invite employees to share their workspace with loved ones, strengthening the bond between personal life and professional pride.
  • SHEIN Day: Every October, we come together to celebrate our global brand’s anniversary, reinforcing our shared vision and identity.

Tools, Efficiency, and Continuous Learning

To support the practical development of our workforce, we invest heavily in modernizing our infrastructure and legal literacy:

  • Digital Transformation: We have streamlined the employee journey by launching the HiHR system and an advanced Pre-onboarding system, ensuring that efficiency and clarity start from day one.
  • Educational Workshops: We maintain a high standard of professional awareness through regular training sessions on Labor Law, Social Fund (ZFŚS) policies, and updates to internal work regulations. This ensures our team is not only skilled in their roles but also well-versed in the standards that protect and support them.
  • Systematic talent development: We take a comprehensive and structured approach to talent development that integrates foundational onboarding, continuous skill enhancement, and career progression support. Building on the suite of training modules ranging from New Hire Orientation to Cross-functional Rotations and Leadership Development Programs, we strive to cultivate employees’ capabilities across multiple dimensions:
  • Foundational Competencies: Ensuring every newcomer gains a solid understanding of our company culture, organizational structure, and operational workflows.
  • Core Skills & Compliance: Fostering proficiency in critical areas such as information security, ethics, anti-corruption, and leveraging AI-driven tools to enhance daily productivity.
  • Professional Growth: Offering targeted leadership pipelines like the TL (Team Leader) Development Plan to nurture future leaders within the company. Since 2025, we have successfully conducted 5 training sessions, through which more than 70 team leaders have been promoted from the program and are currently actively serving in their roles.
  • Promotion: We hold two promotion cycles each year to recognize and reward employees who meet the eligibility criteria and are ready to take on greater responsibilities. We are committed to fostering career growth by providing ample opportunities for advancement, encouraging our talented team members to develop their skills and progress within the organization.

Our commitment is to create an enabling environment where continuous learning and progression are embedded into everyday work life, driven by both strategic initiatives and digital empowerment.

WORK-LIFE BALANCE

At SHEIN Poland, we prioritize a “people-oriented” operational model designed to support the physical health and mental well-being of our workforce through practical, high-impact policies.

  • Flexible Work Framework: To support professional and personal autonomy, employees are entitled to 24 days of remote work per year. This is supplemented by a one-hour flexible start window, allowing staff to adjust their arrival times to meet individual or family needs.
  • Commuter Support: Recognizing our logistics hub’s location outside the city center, we provide complimentary shuttle bus services. This initiative directly reduces commuting stress and financial burden for our team.
  • Nutritional Support: Given the limited dining options near our warehouse facilities, we provide high-quality subsidized lunches for 1 PLN. This program ensures all staff have access to affordable, nutritious meals during their shifts.

Through these integrated measures, we maintain a supportive environment that fosters long-term employee health and overall job satisfaction.

HEALTHY WORKPLACE

Healthy Working Environment

Our company prioritizes a holistic approach to employee well-being, exceeding legal BHP (health and safety) requirements by integrating ecology, safety, hygiene and education into our core operations and culture.

•Ecology and Ergonomics: Every Polish warehouse has a BREEAM Excellent certified. This is a high-level sustainability certification, representing top-tier performance in the BREEAM environmental assessment method. It signifies that a building features “best practice” sustainable design, reduced operational costs, and superior occupant health. Permanent work areas are equipped with ergonomic workstations (adjustable desks/chairs) to to enhance comfort. Selective waste sorting, plastic reduction, and filtered water stations promote sustainability.

  • Safety (BHP and Risk Management): Annual risk assessments, machine guards, PPE, fire suppression systems, and evacuation drills ensure zero-tolerance for hazards. Audits and “near-miss” reporting drive continuous improvement.
  • Hygiene Standards: Daily cleaning protocols cover high-touch areas, with handwashing stations, sanitizers, and well-maintained restrooms/social areas meeting top hygiene benchmarks.
  • Employee Education: Mandatory BHP onboarding, e-learning modules, “safety moments” in meetings, and campaigns (posters, newsletters) build awareness.

COVID-19 Health Protection Policy

During the pandemic, we implemented a comprehensive, adaptive strategy aligned with Polish health authority guidelines, PIP standards, and EU-OSHA recommendations, blending remote work, equipment investments, and education to safeguard our team.

•Work Organization: Expanded remote/hybrid models with IT tools (laptops, VPNs) for office roles; shift rotations and cohort separation minimized contacts in operational areas.

•Equipment and Infrastructure Investments: Provided masks, gloves, plexi barriers, no-touch thermometers, enhanced ventilation, and intensified cleaning schedules for all sites.

•Procedures and Protocols: Clear symptom reporting rules (stay-home policy, no penalties), contact tracing, and dynamic updates to regulations ensured rapid response.

•Education and Communication: Campaigns via webinars, posters, and emails covered hygiene, symptoms, and mental health.
