Review by the MarkaPracodawcy.pl Editorial Team

Praise for Linklaters Service Delivery Centre Warsaw for being a modern and exemplary model of organizational culture built on values such as respect, diversity, integration, trust, and cooperation. High standards in employee relations also deserve recognition.

We highly rate the potential of Linklaters’ developmental sphere, offering opportunities for international growth (‘Global Talent Programme’). Among the developmental initiatives presented, the ‘Team University’ project caught our attention. This is a very valuable program that, besides enriching knowledge, effectively strengthens internal integration and builds relationships between employees from different teams.

We appreciate the company’s care for the health and well-being of employees. There are wellbeing and EAP programs. There are projects related to health prevention, hygiene, and work ecology. There is also a responsible approach to work-life balance (flexible working hours and promoting the philosophy and model of an agile work environment).

Linklaters is a modern and integrating Employer – a place where diversity and team unity are valued; a place for people engaged in development, fulfilling both professionally and socially. Congratulations to the entire LSDC Warsaw team

Linklaters Service Delivery Centre Warsaw as an Employer:

Unlocking Potential, Empowering Progress: Linklaters’ Approach to Employee Development

At Linklaters, we pride ourselves on recruiting both seasoned professionals possessing a wealth of knowledge and young individuals entering the workforce who are eager to embark on their career journeys. To support needs of young talents, we offer different options of internships and apprenticeships. Being aware that a fresh start in a new organization can be challenging for New Joiners regardless of whether they are fresh grads or seasoned professional, we wanted to make sure that all our new employees feel welcome and have a smooth start in their work in LSDCW. That is why we introduced the buddy programme which is a knowledge-sharing method used to onboard new employees into the workplace. Upon joining our organization, we foster an inclusive environment that encourages open discussions on career development, anchored by our performance and career development cycle. Furthermore, we provide a comprehensive suite of resources such as internal and external trainings. Moreover, at LSDCW, we are committed to nurturing our interns into full-fledged employees, that is why we try to foster internal integration and networking and promote potential opportunities for internal mobility and professional growth via transparent promotion of open vacancies as well as organizing events aiming at exchanging cross team knowledge.

Embracing Linklaters Culture: An Insight into Linklaters’ Values, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and Commitment to Social Responsibility (CSR)

At Linklaters, our relentless quest for improvement and excellence is deeply ingrained in our culture. However, we understand that this journey is not about targets and incentives alone, but is fostered by cultivating a positive, supportive, fair, and open working environment. We value diversity and inclusivity and we challenge any form of bias. We want our team members to feel a sense of belonging – this is fundamental to our unified approach and shared mindset. Our globally recognized key values include striving for excellence, respecting each other, leading with empowerment and innovation, acting with integrity, and fostering unity.

Our commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is an important part of our corporate strategy. The Linklaters Service Delivery Centre Warsaw (LSDCW) DEI Team comprises of 10% of our employees. They are volunteers that are representing different functions and working together to promote knowledge about DEI and implement actions and initiatives ensuring diverse and safe environment where people can bring their whole self to work. This group provides broad networking opportunities, exposure to senior stakeholders, chances to collaborate with external organizations, project management experience, and the opportunity to drive change. To further encourage understanding and discussion of DEI topics, we regularly educate our team members on DEI topics, LGBTQ+ rights in Poland, and the experiences of transgender individuals in the workplace and beyond. We regularly collaborate with journalists, activists, transgender advocates, and university faculty members. Inspirational guest speakers are invited to discuss their experiences and anti-discrimination workshops are organized. We also ensure that our recruitment strategy aligns with our commitment to building a diverse team. Moreover, in line with our commitment to gender representation, we have adopted the use of female job titles in local language contracts and job titles. This seems like a small but a very important change and we observe a positive response from our employees and external candidates.

While discussing the culture of our organization, we also need to highlight that as LSDCW, we are committed to making a positive impact on local communities and the environment at the grassroots level, where good practice is developed for further individual engagement. Our Commitment to Social Responsibility programmes is being achieved for example by regular cooperation with Good Initiatives Foundation (Fundacja Dobrych Inicjatyw) which runs an innovative programme called the Academy of Good Initiatives – Akademia Dobrych Inicjatyw with which we created a programme called LinksAcademy aiming at discovering and developing interests, passions and talents of children from foster care houses. The programme serves to motivate them to improve their quality of life and think about their future development or career plans. What is more, we want to highlight that our initiatives include also providing aid to senior citizens, and here we can mention “Business Goes Green” – tree planting action initiated by a local Senior Foundation (Fundacja Emeryt). During the event, we planted three four-meter crab apple trees, characterised by dark purple leaves and pink flowers that will bloom in spring. It was also a perfect opportunity for intergenerational integration and discussion about climate change. The initiative attracted local residents, bringing people together and providing space for relaxing and making new acquaintances.

In conclusion, DEI as well as CSR is deeply embedded in our strategy and our Employee Value Proposition. As evidenced by our regular employee satisfaction survey results, our efforts in both of these areas are highly appreciated by our Linklaters colleagues.

Embracing Linklaters Lifestyle: Where Work-Life Balance Meets Sustainability

At Linklaters our people are our greatest asset, and their health and wellbeing are recognised as a critical business issue for the firm globally. Creating a working environment that supports, encourages and promotes wellbeing is of paramount importance and a key part of the pioneering pillar of the refreshed firmwide strategy. The focus of our global Health and Wellbeing strategy is to help our people take responsibility for their physical and mental health and build their resilience as well as to guide our partners and leaders to support the health and wellbeing of people in their teams, recognise and address the signs of ill health (mental and physical), and refer people to resources the firm provides to help and support. We are certain that really listening to people makes them feel valued and understood that is why we encourage conversations regarding mental health and emotions via one-on-one, team meetings, global and local webinars, bulletin articles. That said, we are also aware that listening is an art, too, and that we all need to continuously develop the skill of active listening. We also implemented Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), designed to help our employees with their everyday life. We know that everyone faces challenges day to day. That is why whether our employees have a simple question or a complex concern, the 24/7, 365 days service is to help them and their immediate family members with practical information and advice covering a range of topics affecting health, family, legal, financial and work.

At Linklaters, we understand that a healthy mind thrives in a healthy environment, which is why our commitment to mental well-being is seamlessly intertwined with our dedication to maintaining an eco-friendly office space. To achieve this, we have a mix of modern, fully equipped workspaces, relaxation areas, and gyms. We’ve automated our office spaces with energy-saving sensors that manage lights, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems, significantly reducing our energy consumption. We’ve also implemented strategies to reduce paper usage, encouraging the use of digital tools and promoting electronic contracts and invoices. Our Think before you travel campaign encourages employees to consider their environmental impact when planning journeys and to opt for online meetings when possible. On the top of that, we actively raise awareness about eco-friendly practices through promoting initiatives like The European Week for Waste Reduction and World Environment Week. What is more, having in mind the greater good and our CSR agenda, we promoted sensible shopping and pointed out places where surplus food can be donated. We also organised a food collection and food-sharing event together with a charity organisation Daj herbatę which aims to support people struggling with homelessness.
