Global, culturally diverse, inclusive, and innovative – that’s AMS. For over two decades, we’ve been shaping the HR consulting and talent outsourcing market, redefining what effective recruitment means. AMS introduced the concept of RPO (Recruitment Process Outsourcing – entrusting an external provider with all or part of the recruitment processes, allowing organizations to efficiently acquire and manage talent while focusing on core business areas), and today we continue to develop new, more effective approaches to talent acquisition. We are a global leader in this field.

What sets us apart is our people – engaged, motivated, and truly passionate about working with talent. We feel part of a community where everyone matters.

AMS Poland is one of the largest and most important operational centers of the company globally. Present in Poland since 2005, AMS has been growing dynamically and plays a key role in AMS’s global structure. Polish AMS teams serve clients from all over the world – including Europe, North America, and Asia – working in languages such as English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, and many others. In 2015, the company expanded by opening a center in Gdańsk. Today, AMS Poland employs over 1,600 people who provide recruitment, sourcing, and administrative services for more than 70 clients worldwide. AMS employees in Poland represent 50 nationalities, highlighting the company’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.

AMS Poland as an Employer

EMPLOYEE RELATIONS

As an employer committed to a friendly and supportive work environment, AMS implements a range of solutions that foster a positive atmosphere – reflected in our internal work regulations.

For several years, our employees have served as Mental Health Ambassadors. These are individuals trained by an external expert (psychologist) to support colleagues – their role is to listen without judgment in a trusted environment, suggest where additional help can be found, and share empathy and understanding with those seeking support. Ambassadors are part of the global Health & Wellbeing Committee, one of many AMS committees that bring employees together around shared topics, organize events, spread knowledge, and build a sense of belonging and community.

AMS employees represent a wide range of ages, cultural backgrounds, education levels, genders, and beliefs. Diversity is one of our key strengths, and we celebrate it through numerous global employee committees, such as:

  • Black Employee Network (Black + Allies)
  • Disability & Neurodiversity
  • Juntos Podemos (Hispanic/Latin American Heritage + Allies)
  • LGBTQIA+ & Allies
  • South Asian Heritage
  • Social Mobility
  • AMS Women
  • Military
  • Religion, Faith & Spirituality
  • Health & Wellbeing

Anyone can join these committees – whether they identify with the group or are allies supporting their mission. Committees develop annual initiative plans, promote educational campaigns, invite guest speakers, host open employee discussions, and suggest improvements to enhance working conditions for all.

Managers are encouraged to recognize employees in various ways. At AMS, we celebrate:

  • Work anniversaries (with extra days off and reward points),
  • Outstanding contributions (through nominations by leaders or peers),
  • Appreciation messages via the Appreciate platform, which can be shared company-wide.

AMS also values loyalty – employees with longer tenure receive up to four additional vacation days.

Knowledge is one of our core assets. Employees have access to comprehensive intranet with key company information, team updates, procedures, events, and news. Regular newsletters help keep everyone informed.

AMS continuously expands its internal training base – with sessions led by internal experts and external trainers. Employees also have access to the Gartner platform, offering reports, analyses, statistics, and educational courses.

Our offices reflect our care for employee wellbeing. They are modern and well-equipped, offering:

  • Ergonomic, adjustable workstations,
  • Quiet zones,
  • Numerous meeting rooms with modern equipment,
  • Fully equipped kitchens and relaxation rooms with games.

AMS leaders actively participate in global and local committee events, sharing company updates and personal reflections. Each global committee has an Executive Committee (EXCO) sponsor who promotes events, co-creates initiative calendars, and shares insights on employee needs and best practices.

A great example is Gosia Lesniak, Global Head of Talent Acquisition and long-time AMS Kraków employee, who was named one of the Involve “Top 100 Future Women Leaders.” She leads the AMS Women ERG, a platform for discussion and support for women across regions, advocating for personal growth, wellbeing, and career advancement.

Gosia also helped establish the AMS Career Centre in Poland, supporting refugees – mainly women from Ukraine – in integrating into the Polish job market. The initiative offers job search support and psychological assistance through workshops and community-building meetings.

AMS also runs an internal Mentoring Program, open to all employees as mentors or mentees. In 2023, 324 employees from Poland joined the program for the first time.

Many managers also serve as Mental Health Ambassadors. In 2024, AMS launched a training series titled “How to Support Employees in Psychological Crisis,” led by specialists from the Mental Health Center. Over 90 managers participated by year-end.

EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT

AMS employees have many opportunities to enhance their skills in various ways. The mentoring platform allows mentors and mentees from across AMS to register. Users can join one of three main mentoring programs:

  • Career Mentoring
  • Reverse Mentoring
  • Exploring Leadership Mentoring

Based on a Q&A algorithm, the system suggests potential mentors from Poland and other AMS locations. The platform also helps schedule meetings and track notes throughout the mentoring journey. This program fosters knowledge sharing, learning from others, and supporting colleagues through experience.

All AMS employees have access to an internal learning platform offering a wide range of training and courses – both virtual and in-person – delivered by internal trainers and external providers. The platform includes:

  • Over 4,000 e-learning courses
  • Topics ranging from technical skills (e.g., Excel, Power BI) to soft skills, personal development, wellbeing, and diversity

Employees are also assigned dedicated Learning Pathways based on their role and level in the organization. These pathways outline required training to be completed within 3–12 months and are visible in the learning platform.

New employees benefit from:

  • Induction Program and Safe Landing Week – the first week of work focused on onboarding, team integration, and required training
  • A Buddy – a team member selected by the manager to help the new hire settle in, understand team dynamics, and learn company values

At the start of each year (or upon joining), employees set annual operational goals aligned with team/function objectives and AMS’s broader strategy.

Throughout the year, employees have regular check-ins with managers to monitor progress, discuss skill development, and shape their Personal Development Plan (PDP).

AMS conducts formal performance reviews twice a year. Every May, the internal training team organizes a Personal Development & Learning Week, featuring:

  • Workshops
  • Online and in-office training
  • Inspirational panels with internal and external speakers

In 2024, AMS launched upskilling programs – multi-week development tracks focused on specific skills. These programs help employees qualify for internal roles beyond their current profile. More themed programs are planned for 2025.

AMS Poland also offers:

  • Language training
  • Funding for external courses, training, and postgraduate studies

Employees can apply for internal job openings across teams and roles. Some vacancies are exclusively open to internal candidates.

WORK-LIFE BALANCE

The main advocate for work-life balance at AMS is the Health & Wellbeing Committee, which promotes topics related to mental, physical, financial, and social health through a global calendar of events.

The committee shares information via:

  • Viva Engage internal channel
  • Newsletters
  • Direct emails to distribution lists

Since it operates globally, employees in Poland can also participate. In 2024, over 50 events were held, including:

  • Chair yoga
  • Meditation sessions
  • Employee discussion on cancer prevention
  • Webinars on topics such as:
    • Harmony in the workplace
    • The role of play in life
    • The role of sleep and habits in life
    • Wim Hof Method
    • Avoiding burnout
    • Body and mind as powerful partners
    • Emotions and coping resources
    • World Suicide Prevention Day – risk factors and warning signs
    • Breathwork

These events not only offer psychological support but also educate on health, improve physical condition, promote a healthy lifestyle, and help employees relax.

The committee is made up of people passionate about wellbeing. Some have completed special training with psychologists to support colleagues as Mental Health Ambassadors – listening without judgment, suggesting help sources, and offering empathy. The committee has a global sponsor from the company’s executive team, showing that employee wellbeing is integral to the organization’s success.

AMS has also implemented many solutions to promote work-life balance, including:

  • Flexible working hours
  • Flexible breaks, including an optional 30-minute unpaid break
  • Hybrid work model – from the office, another location in Poland, or abroad for a limited time
  • Part-time work options
  • Annual goal setting aligned with individual and team needs
  • Personal development plans and support in achieving them
  • Additional training to enhance qualifications
  • Workshops organized by employee groups with external experts, such as:
    • “Resources for facing reality” – psychological skills for everyday and unusual challenges
    • “Risk Factors and Warning Signs” – identifying individuals at risk
    • Mat yoga, chair yoga, and meditation

AMS also offers a comprehensive benefits package to improve quality of life at work and beyond.

HEALTHY WORKPLACE

AMS is committed to creating a work environment that supports employee wellbeing, comfort, and productivity. Here’s how we do it:

Flexible Working Hours

We try to balance client expectations with employee needs. Everyone can discuss their individual preferences with their manager to find the best solution. All employees can take an optional 30-minute unpaid break – it’s not mandatory and can be skipped if not needed.

Hybrid Work Model

Many teams operate in a hybrid model. In Poland, we have two main hubs – Kraków and Gdańsk – and offices in larger cities like Warsaw and Poznań. Employees can work from these offices or remotely. The hybrid model encourages at least one day per week in the office, supporting team integration, knowledge sharing, and participation in events. Employees living far from offices can work fully remotely.

Recognition and Motivation

AMS values employee contributions and loyalty:

  • Extra vacation days and reward points for long service
  • Internal promotions
  • Regional awards and thank you e-cards visible to colleagues
  • Bonus system based on financial performance, with monetary rewards for top performers

Employee Satisfaction Surveys

AMS conducts anonymous surveys several times a year to assess satisfaction across various areas. In 2024, employees rated highest:

  • Communication from managers (including feedback quality)
  • Work flexibility
  • Leadership support
  • Career development opportunities

Information Accessibility
We use multiple channels to keep employees informed. These include an intranet that features news and archived updates, all-hands meetings as well as team-specific sessions, and regular newsletters. We also maintain Viva Engage communities to support both professional and social discussions. Additionally, we provide dedicated email addresses and distribution groups to facilitate direct communication.

Ergonomic Workspaces
Our offices are designed with ergonomics in mind. Each workspace is equipped with height-adjustable desks that allow employees to sit or stand, as well as external keyboards, monitor arms, and laptop stands. Desks are 140 cm wide to enhance comfort, and chairs come with adjustable headrests, armrests, and seat height.

Modern Conference Rooms
Our conference rooms are equipped with VC tablets, allowing meetings to proceed without the need for laptops. They also feature streaming capabilities and online interaction tools. Digital information screens help reduce paper use by displaying key updates and schedules.

Cleanliness and Hygiene
We maintain high standards of cleanliness through professional cleaning services and regular disinfection of shared spaces. Waste is segregated appropriately, and dishwashers include cycle indicators for better hygiene management. Restrooms are stocked with hygiene supplies such as deodorants, hand lotion, and dry shampoo.

Acoustic Comfort
To enhance acoustic comfort, we use soundproof panels at desks and on walls. Carpeting helps to reduce ambient noise, and our conference rooms are double-glazed to limit sound leakage. Quiet Zones are available for those needing focused work time.

Bright and Spacious Offices
Our offices are designed to be bright and welcoming. Relaxation and collaboration zones benefit from abundant natural light, and additional lighting is installed in shared areas. The layout includes spacious, glass-walled rooms and wide corridors to promote openness.

Temperature Control
We maintain a comfortable temperature using zoned sensors that can be adjusted between 19–24°C. Many windows are openable, allowing for natural air circulation when needed.

Office Amenities
We offer a range of amenities including treadmills, coffee machines, sparkling and still water, healthy snacks, and fruit twice a week. Our kitchens are convertible to accommodate large meetings, and we provide collaboration zones suited for both work and relaxation. A welcoming reception area includes guest seating and access to a large terrace.

Natural Light and Greenery
Our design emphasizes natural light and greenery. Large windows with adjustable blinds allow for daylight control, and desks are positioned to maximize exposure to natural light. LED lighting with natural tones complements the environment, while every zone includes plants, and our kitchens feature fresh herbs.

Relaxation Areas
We provide spaces for rest and recreation, including a Wellbeing & Prayer Room for privacy and reflection, and the “Dragon’s Den” – a dedicated relaxation room equipped with a Switch console and ping-pong table. Various seating options are also available for short breaks throughout the day.

Parking and Commuting
We support diverse commuting options. Parking spots are bookable in advance. Our offices are conveniently located near public transport and major highways. For cyclists, we offer covered bike racks, repair tools, showers, and lockers.

Health and Safety
Our health and safety measures include well-stocked first aid kits, AEDs, and dedicated mother-and-child rooms. Employees have access to first aid and fire safety training, and each office is staffed with evacuation coordinators and trained first responders.
